Acer Aspire One AOD270 Drivers Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1Acer released Windows 7 32-bit support for this model and the reason for 32-bit is Intel GMA 3600/3650, the important issue about this graphic is it only released to work with windows 7 32-bit. Intel, Microsoft Update and Acer dodn't have support for other OS and it is officially state that this graphic design to work with windows 7 32-bit, not 64-bit. This netbook comes with 1GB of RAM. You need Minimum 4GB RAM to run Windows 64-bit or Other 64-bit OS. I already download and checked the drivers files (except audio and bluetooth - the file size is to big), so I re-make the driver list base on actual compatibility provided by each drivers. Some of them support all there OS (windows XP/Vista and 7). You may notice ACER named the driver x86 which refer to 32-bit system but if you check the drivers it also contain 64-bit support. Lastly to complete the list, I check the vendor website for additi onal support, example the original LAN drivers only support windows 7 32 and 64-bit. So, I just went to Realtek support site and look for download links for windows XP/Vista/8/8.1. They also list out support for other OS such Linux and Window Server/Media Center.
My recommendation : Choose windows 7 32-bit or Lightweight OS such as Linux Mint

Clean install is not recommended, upgrading form windows 7 is a better choice because windows 8 will analyze current driver and re-install it in windows 8. Sometimes windows 7 drivers works with windows 8 and upgrading from windows 7 will make your work easier because windows 8 will automatically reconfigure the drivers for you. Clean install however require certain steps to install such as right click and troubleshoot compatibility before installation.
Windows 8 will automatically install the following drivers. First make sure to turn on windows automatic updates and install the available updates, reboot afte r installation.

Note 3: (also known as Agere/Liteon System 2.0 Soft Modem) - Link taken from Acer travelmate 4740G (it use similar hardware with AOD270 and also list driver for windows XP, the hardware ID match each other). If you run Windows Automatic updates, it will automatically install version 2.2.102.0 which is the latest drivers.
